The Ceiling Cat (Laquearia cattus) is a monster that is usually harmless, but kind of creepy in that you probably didn't even know that the cat and the hole in your ceiling were there. Feral varieties that live in dungeon ceilings are more dangerous and demand a more cautious approach from heroes.

Appearance

Domesticated Ceiling Cats are sometimes the subject of Godville cat videos in their demonstration of ceiling habitation and humorous ambush antics. All breeds have been known to inhabit ceilings if access is a possibility. Distinguishing a ceiling cat from a typical domestic cat is nearly impossible based on appearance since the behavior seems to be present in all breeds. Ceiling behavior will emerge with the opportunity to climb into elevated structure.

Feral Ceiling Cats are wild and rambunctious versions of domesticated Ceiling Cats and can cause injury to dungeon explorers. Carrying and offering cat treats can sometimes distract a feral Ceiling Cat.
