At sign sign.jpg

A sign is a divine power granted to deities on August 2021 [1].

General Information

Sometimes the heroine has a thought or comes across an opportunity, but isn't sure whether to act upon it, and instead writes in the diary to ask their goddess to send a sign - unlike times they are told to go look for one due to lacking said sign. These special diary entries can be recognized by the (@) symbol at the end of the entry.

Sending a sign costs 25% godpower. After clicking on the @ symbol or tapping on the entry, said entry will turn blue, and the heroine will follow the sign at the next occasion, which may take up to a few minutes.

They can be ignored, which will cause the entry to disappear after a few minutes, depending on the occasion. Therefore, notifications for these can be enabled in the game's settings for those who want to stay on top of their champion.

Types of signs

Depending on what the heroine is doing at the moment, these entries will vary by type:

Monster frisk

Upon beginning the battle with a strong monster, the heroine will ask in her diary if she should inspect for extra loot on it upon defeating it. Could result in the following:

No spending

After finishing selling off their inventory and looking (or even buying) equipment, heroes can feel the need to abstain spending their hard earned gold coins by letting someone else spend theirs.

However, while none of their gold will be spent towards the taverns or other wasteful delights, it's very likely that it would apply towards retirement funds as well - meaning no progression towards savings.

Boss search

Just after leaving town and searching for the path towards their quest continuation, a group of explorers near the heroine will mumble something about a potential search for an underground boss-monster.

Accepting the sign will immediately make the heroine drop everything, dig for a lair and search for other heroes to join her plight. If none is found after four minutes, the heroine will continue on their standard heroic duties.

Path shortcut

While out in the field, a heroine will discover a potential shortcut on the road, allowing her to skip several milestones forward.[2]

This will also aid in quest completion - 10-20% regardless of distance traveled (2-4% on epic quests.)[3]

This kind of sign may be the only one that doesn't fade automatically besides from letting the diary entries run over it. In the event the sign is taken after the quest is completed and is returning back to Godville, the heroine will enact upon it after exiting town with a new quest in hand - skipping about 33 milestones right off the bat.

Personal prayer

During the prayer phase in the temple, the heroine will feel generous enough to send a personal prayer.

This grants one's equipment part to become bold, or the heroine may receive a new aura after praying.

Fishing

During questing, the heroine may ask about going fishing sooner than scheduled. Accepting it would proceed with the usual fishing cycle; there are no benefits or drawbacks compared to on-time fishing.[4]

Roadside trader

While out in the field and when the conditions for a roadside trader to appear are possible (around 12 hours apart, over 30% health and over half of an inventory full), the heroine may ask about unloading their inventory in a sale.

Choosing to accept it will initiate the trade cycle.[4]
