24 Nov 11: Changed "A count of 3200 gold coins is usually sufficient" to 3000. Several times I've melted coins into bricks when I had more than 3000 but less than 3200. An influence seems to result in a successful melt in the 3000-3199 range as frequently as it does when the number of coins is greater than that.

Tradeburg, December 3, 2012, after selling a bunch of stuff including two gold bricks for about 1,800 gold coins each and a friendship bracelet for a song, I got this: "03:35 When the trader saw my golden brick, he grinned cunningly and gave me 3732 gold coins for it." --BlueStapler 01:42, 4 December 2012 (GMT)
Los Adminos, December 5, 2012: sold a gold brick for 2513 gold coins. --BlueStapler 20:19, 5 December 2012 (GMT)
I have just rewritten the properties section on gold bricks as it was previously based on an entirely unjustified (as far as I know) assumption that gold bricks and building bricks are the same size. I have now re-written it to use information from the properties of gold coins. The bricks are as a result, now larger, but not too large (I've seen bigger bricks) and certainly sound more like what I'd want my temple made from. --Brinjal
