The titanium gingerbread man was made in a forge not an oven. They hate heroes because they laughed at them. Heroes are to hit them on the metal gumdrops and kick it in the metal forehead where it is thin, knocking it out. They usualy have money from other heroes. Time went on the gingerbread men grew stronger faster and stupider. Alone they are useless, but with all these skills combined Heros will be happy get help from  even an any. These titanium men live near forests and secluded areas where little happens, waiting for a lost hero to stumble across its hidey-hole.
