πŸ“š Documentation

Decorate item formats the text supplied in the |text= parameter or the second unnamed parameter, by placing the text from the first unnamed parameter next to it, offset by a small margin. Also sets the entire string no-wrap. The default is to decorate both sides of the string, |where= can be used to override that.

The default string is "Example text", and the default decoration is a warning-triangle emoji: ⚠️Example text⚠️

Convenience templates

It's usually simplest to use one of the convenience templates implemented using Decorate item, if possible:

Template Example use Example output
pumpkins cyclops eye drops πŸŽƒcyclops eye dropsπŸŽƒ
party 3000-days gold coin πŸŽ‰3000-days gold coinπŸŽ‰
turkey roasted turkey πŸ¦ƒroasted turkey

Parameters

|where=
Optional -- set to control the placement of the decoration. Recognized values are:
  • before, start - Only place decoration before the string
  • after, end - Only place decoration after the string
  • both - Decorate both ends of the string (default)

Example of use

  • πŸŽƒ
    produces: πŸŽƒgolden pumpkinπŸŽƒ
  •
    produces; πŸŽ‰something specialπŸŽ‰
  •
    produces; πŸ¦ƒroasted turkey
