Love this!

Excellent article. I'd thought about taking this on a similar basis but I'm glad I didn't now, this is so much better than what I had in mind. -- S624 (talk) 20:10, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for the lovely comment! By the way, re: your editing notes: "left spelling of 'crudity' alone as a confirmation of not being delicate {properly crudité for the food snack}" -- yes, this was a deliberate pun; "left modelling as the British spelling" -- which "modelling" is, but also the Canadian one (we Canadians use an unholy mixture of British and American spellings, which is why I also used "specialty" instead of "speciality"). As GodWiki doesn't have a rule on the use of American vs. British spellings (much less Canadian or other Commonwealth variants), I figured that was OK. Also, for anyone who is still reading, Mise en bière is a pun on bière, which in French can mean either beer or coffin/casket. Mise en bière (the name of the beer) literally means "putting [a corpse] into a coffin". The Rising Gorge's prices are top-notch but its food hygiene may not be ;) -- Cham Almighty (talk) 19:32, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

A TINY suggestion

I agree with GodS624 , this is great, and I love the foodie content and the generous portions of French sprinkled throughout.

The only comment I'd make is that the current Description field in the infobox might work better as a |caption= for the image — which I'm now realizing is not actually a documented {{Artifact}} parameter. That is totally my fault, and I apologize for leaving it out of Template:Artifact/Documentation. I will make sure to correct that on all of the infoboxes' documentation pages.

Anyway, all of the {{Infobox}}-based templates accept a |caption=image description parameter for descriptive text associated with the image; if present it'll be displayed immediately below. See Tinkerhell or Yorkshire Mammoth for an example. The exact content of the current |description= could be left as-is and set for the parameter |caption= instead.

Ideally, the |description= parameter should endeavor to stand on its own without the image, and in fact should serve as an alternative to the image. (The reader might have a vision impairment and be reading the article using an assistive device, they may have a spotty network connection that causes the image not to show, or they may just have image loading disabled in their browser.) -- FeRDNYC (talk) 05:39, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

The Beerburghburgherburger

#RELATED: Beware the cautionary tale of Rhabarberbarbara ("Rhubarb Barbara"), rhubarb cake-seller extraordinaire. Lest you end up being served a beer by the Barbie of the bar where the beer of the beard barber for the barbarians of Rhubarb’s Barbara’s bar is sold, who obviously would be called Rhababerbarbarabarbarbarenbartbarbierbierbarbärbel. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 14:35, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
