- Congrats to
High king of undies , our newly elected leader, and here's to an awesome term! Speaking of an awesome term, he has designated the following:
- TARGET THE TOWN TUESDAYS: Every Tuesday, target any town you wish with influences to raise guild popularity, which has been sadly diminishing lately.
- FUN FACT FRIDAYS: Every Friday, share a fun fact with the guild in the forum.
- DUNGEON SUNDAYS: Coordinate guild dungeon groups at :15 on Sundays.
- GUILD ORIGIN STORY CONTEST: This is what we have now. Submit in the forum a BF origin story we could actually tell around a campfire with beer and songs and camaraderie and all that jazz. Try to keep details consistent with what we have now, but slight alterations are probably okay. No word limit. Go crazy with chapters if you want to. Deadline March 5th. Stories to be voted on by the guild. Winner gets 22 CHARGES and story goes in the above-mentioned section of the wiki.
- GUILD NEWSLETTER: Check it out!

About Blue Feather
Who we are
- Our core values are Kindness, Loyalty, Friendship, and Honor. We ask that all members show these things to each other and to the Godville community. Above all, we encourage our members to get involved, make friends, participate in the forum, have a tall frosty mug of Righteous Royal Blù, and most importantly, have FUN.
- While we strive to maintain a brightness alignment, a small percentage of evil aligned members won't make much difference. Encourage when you can to contribute to our overall alignment and treat your fellow guildies well to contribute to our success as a guild! The small benefits to healing and selling prices from keeping our guild alignment bright are nice, but not as important as keeping the community healthy.
How we began
A wandering hero picked up a shining blue feather from an ancient cave and instantly felt revitalized. Soon, others joined him in search of the rare feather, forming the Blue Feather Guild. Legend has it that Magical Blue Fairies wrote in their diaries about how the rare feather came from a bird called the Arctic Firebird. The Blue Fairies not only keep the Blue Feather guild supplied with their special blue pocket lint dust, but also provide our heroes with a blue moonstone for luck and guidance on their quests to make sure they don't get lost and return home safely.
How to join us
- Your hero(ine) must be at or above level 12 to join guilds.
- Wait until your hero(ine) is idling on the road (i.e., not in a town or dungeon, and not fighting a monster, healing, or selling to a roadside trader).
- Do NOT cancel your hero(ine)'s current quest.
- Send this voice command to your hero(ine): Join "Blue Feather" guild. It may take several tries. Space voice commands at least 30 seconds apart.
- If, in the future, your hero(ine) tries to leave the guild, send this voice command: Cancel quest. This can be done at any time.
- If you neglect your hero(ine) for 28 days or more, s(he) will leave the guild.
How to join in
Blue Feather symbol
- To show guild spirit, you may add this symbol 丯 to your motto. It makes our guild more visible in pantheons, but the choice is of course your own.
Conversations
- Join us in the forum or in the Guild Council (GC). We'd love to see you stop by!
- In both of these places, please be respectful of all community members and, in keeping with the spirit of Godville, use language appropriate to the game. Let's keep the game enjoyable to all. Please refrain from swears or other disrespectful behaviors.
Ranks
- When your hero(ine) first joins a guild, s(he) will begin as a Fan (day 1). As time passes, s(he) will ascend the ranks. Passage of time is the only way to gain higher ranks.
- Recruits (day 3) can begin posting in the Guild Council (GC). While you wait, come find us in the forum!
- Chief masters (day 35) can contribute to the guild's duelery ranking.
- Cardinals (day 135):
- will stop wandering away to other guilds.
- can vote in the leader elections.
- can vote to impeach the current leader.
- can expel or impel any member from the GC.
- get a Careerist medal. You can receive the first Careerist medal from one guild, the second Careerist medal from another guild, and the third Careerist medal by rejoining the first guild until you reach Cardinal rank. (Thank you to
Blissful 1 and
Enoch Metatron for confirming this for us.) So come back to us for your third Careerist medal! We'll leave your room and belongings just as they are until you return and welcome you back home with open arms.
- Hierarchs (day 200) are eligible to run for guild leader. Read more about Blue Feather elections on our election page.
- Phoenixes (day 800) are unique to Blue Feather, and the name of this rank is chosen by the elected leader.
Popularity
- We are popular in almost every town of Godville and rank high in the Popularity Pantheon, providing our members with benefits such as discounts from traders, free artifacts and equipment, and access to our own private guild doctors for faster and cheaper medical services. However, popularity is not permanent but fluctuates day by day, and we need your help.
- To keep our popularity level high, keep an eye out for when your hero(ine) visits a town to heal or sell loot. You may want to send a Return to town voice command. Once in town, use Encourage or Punish (pro tip: doing so while selling loot potentially gets you more coins). Look for confirmation that your action had an effect on the guild; otherwise, it likely did not. For players with temples, miracles will also work and tend to have an even greater effect.
- Our highest popularity to date: Godvillewood, 74% on 15th May 2012 (737 g.e.)
Duelery
- We rank high in the Duelery Pantheon and strive to do well in the arena as a whole. To that end, we try not to meet each other in the arena. Before sending your hero(ine) to the arena, please announce your intention to the Guild Council (GC).
- If you have a temple, announce t in (temple in). Otherwise, announce nt in (non-temple in).
- Upon matching, announce m. If you do not match, announce unmatched.
- If someone announces ahead of you but then does not follow up, assume that the arena is clear after about 15 minutes. It takes 10 minutes to unmatch, and throw in another 5 minutes for padding.
- If you announce but then find yourself matched with a fellow guildie, do your best and shake hands afterwards. It happens sometimes.
- For arena tips, contact
Matusmanis ,
Okita ,
Ursina or anyone else that catches your eye. We're all happy to help!
Sparring
- Sparring is available starting at level 7. Find sparring partners in the Guild Council (GC).
- One person needs to send an invite to the other, and someone needs to send the sparring invitation, which costs 50% godpower. Coordinate who does what.
- A win in a sparring match is awarded with 1 experience point, while a loss is not penalized in any way.
Fighting bosses
- Underground Bosses can be found by digging outside of town or activating a dig item. Find allies in the Guild Council (GC).
- Announce boss chance when you've found a boss to allow others to join you. Announce m upon matching, and unmatched otherwise. If no one else digs with you within four minutes, you will be unmatched.
Exploring dungeons
- Dungeoning is an option only available to those with temples. Find allies in the Guild Council (GC).
- You may see other players announce their intention to explore a dungeon with a time (e.g., :25). You'll notice that only the minutes are included, not the hour, and this is because players are spread out around the world and live in different time zones. If you wish to join in, do so at the time specified.
The Great Gremlin Hunt
- After many, many assaults on our members by gremlins determined to steal anything and everything they can possibly get their hands on, the gremlins went one step too far. They invaded the kitchen. There are some things that Simply Are Not Done, and anything that interrupts the flow of coffee and baked goods from the Blue Feather kitchen is on that list. Thus was born The Great Gremlin Hunt. Pop in to the forum or the Guild Council (GC) to participate. Post your gremlin sightings, and help us chase the varmints down!
Guild events
This monthly dueling tournament allows voice commands only. We'd like to see you at your funniest and most creative!

Leaders and active members
The Feather Council (FC) is responsible for all major decisions regarding the guild and for keeping the guild running smoothly. Every member of the FC holds an equal voice, and our goal is to keep this guild a fun and friendly place. Members are selected from our active, more senior guild members, and are expected to maintain a reasonable level of active involvement in guild management.

Artsonian : First elected boss of this here guild. Fierce hunter of gremlins.

Saturio : "Fooling yourself to fool your opponent"
Stockholm syndrome
This time, she would pay the priests for Tigger's revival! His sacrifice would not be in vain! Evangelione made it 3 blocks and 2 taverns down the road before she realized she forgot Tigger on the counter at the trader's.
In January 2013, Dykvg made the great leap from his old guild to Blue Feather, where he currently resides and is slowly climbing the ranks, and then sliding down them for fun, to please his partially intoxicated inner-child.
He nicknamed me “last choice” from the first moment we met.
Pansy Jackson is Percy Jackson’s dumber and pansier version.
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single hero in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a god. The young Kat Macro, however, was in a want of a cheezburger.
Something had obviously gone wrong, he had ended up with a crummy god with a twitchy trigger finger on the punish button.
Dig deeper you said. What could go wrong, you said? Well, behold exhibit one...

Found %random_friend%'s corpse lying dead on the road. Tied {his||her} shoelaces together. If {he||she} returns as a zombie, I'll be the one laughing.
[Idea] The achievement for gaining gopher wood, or perhaps a pantheon for it, should be called "arkeology". It fits well, and relates to the digging/dungeon trawling to gain wood (archaeology&discovery). I thought this would be a great idea to add an amusing pun to Godville.
First ever approval: Hugging random people
Two monster approvals: Bosstrich, Cute Ness Monster
To escape the fearsome %monster%, I jumped off a cliff head first, like my diving teacher taught me. Long story short, turns out that technique is only useful when there's water at the bottom.
Emeriti are honored for their long-term contributions to our success. While they are still with us, they are no longer actively involved in guild management.
Megeara : A key member early in our growth, she can still be found lurking in GC and in the forums from time to time.
Retired members deserve mention for their long-time service in the guild, but they have since moved on to other guilds or have retired from the game entirely. You are missed!
Amanda83 : Former elected leader, and much beloved and longtime member of Blue Feather. Has since stepped out to visit friends in other guilds and tour the lands of GV.
Badmammajamma : The second ever member of Blue Feather.
Cheeezus
Devwoman18 : Played a crucial role in the growth of Blue Feather. Her enthusiasm and joyful spirit brought a spark to the guild that helped us grow. Her vision of building a friendly, caring community was one of the key notes that shaped the guild we know today.

Omgimissed : Retired member of the Feather Council.
SBFH : Incredible GV player but more importantly, incredible person. Key figure in early BF history. Is greatly missed.

FAQ
- How do I play this game? This is mostly meant to be a zero-player game so your hero(ine) does the slaying, questing, and glugging all on his/her own. You can, however, lend a hand in the following ways.
- Your first major goal is to collect 1000 golden bricks and build a temple. Once you have done so, you can begin dungeoning and saving for retirement.
- Your second major goal is to collect 1000 gopher logs and build an ark. Once you have done so, you can begin sailing.
- Building an ark: Kingdada, Vicksdayquil
- Sailing: Godville, Kingdada
- Here are some other things you can do that may help you with the two goals above.
- Catching, releasing, and resurrecting pets: Kingdada, SBFH
- Combining artifacts: SBFH
- Digging: SBFH
- Dueling: Hairplug4men
- Ideaboxing: Brinjal, The Ideaboxers Union
- Playing bingo and completing the crossword: Blue Stapler, forum
- Is there anything that would make these monumental tasks easier? Yes, glad you asked! First, download and install this extension. - Should I join Blue Feather? Yes, yes, you definitely should.
