Description | Beer and meerkat in one monster! What could go wrong? |
Born in ancient times of an Ale-chemist’s madness and loneliness, the Beerkat is a beer elemental that took the form of a meerkat. It is now widespread in Godville, all individuals being duplicates of duplicates of the original Beerkat.
Due to its nature as an elemental, the Beerkat needs to absorb beer to survive, and its body alters according to the beer it consumes. Studies show that the monster weakens or gets stronger according to the standard gravity (strength) of the beer, 10° being the average degree of the Beerkat population. Records also indicate that, once, a panicked Beerkat in Beerburgh absorbed beer-scented soap and the monster was literally making giant, beery soap bubbles. The whole city was cleaned up (and soaked in beer) in less than a minute.
This monster tends to avoid heroes, due to heroic attraction to anything that is beer scented, but will not hesitate to defend itself from them. Despite Beerkats being beer elementals, it seems heroes can't "drink" a Beerkat, because the amount of beer inside the heroes allows the monster to somehow survive. Decency doesn't allow us to explain further what happened to the unfortunate heroes who tried this tactic.
