Plural forms

I saw an instance of es in the wild, which would become a problem if we ever changed the text output by — the idea was that those templates would be "centrally" malleable, if say we wanted to change "1-ability dungeon boss" to "level 1 boss-monster" or whatever.

Point is, this is an indication that the templates need their own plural forms ( I guess), so that they don't get combined with suffixes that may become invalid down the road. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 18:15, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

If we're tinkering here, it might also be worthwhile considering a parameter (say , or even just ) that adds linking. I used these extensively to make the table at List of monsters consistent, and I feel like -> 1-ability dungeon boss could be improved to something like 1-ability dungeon boss. Not vital or anything, but might improve boss infoboxes too. -- Djonni (talk) 18:58, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Mmm, not a bad idea.
(I initially thought, "Hmm, or maybe something like ?" and suddenly I understood exaaaactly how Wikipedia's template-linking alphabet soup happened. But I still think this chart is hilarious in its terribleness, so maybe let's do something that's not-that.)
Anyway, seems sensible to me, I'll ruminate some on the execution. Certainly enough plates spinning already that it can wait until a few fall touch down gracefully. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 21:15, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
