⚰️This template is marked for deletion.
For the following reason: parent template marked for deletion, no point to keep doc
Of course, miraculous intervention by a God or Goddess may succeed in saving it. On the template's talk page you can make a plea for its continued existence.
This Template Is Deprecated — USE {{Monster}} INSTEAD

{{Monster}} can now create Beastie infoboxes (since all Beasties are Monsters), it should be used instead of this template. Setting |sea-names= will automatically create a Beastie infobox, or you can add |sea=yes to do it explicitly. So, for example...
{{Beastie|image=example.jpg |description=A beastie}}
{{Monster|image=example.jpg |description=A beastie |sea-names=2}} or
{{Monster|sea=yes |image=example.jpg |description=A beastie}}
See Template:Monster for full documentation.
This change will allow Beastie articles to benefit from any improvements made to {{Monster}}.

As well as categorising a page as a Beastie one, it supplies information about it.

  • image - Optional but preferable The full image file name.
  • class - The class of the beastie. e.g. cephalopod, shellfish, amphibian etc.
  • habitat - The habitat of the beastie. Remember: beasties are sea monsters, so choose something like kelp forest, reef, or underwater volcano; rather than desert, jungle, or mountain.
  • description - A brief description of the beastie's appearance.

Example of usage:

|habitat=Underwater cities
|description=Half-man, half-fish
