If you've stumbled into OnePricedWood, you should consider yourself one of the lucky few. This great but tiny woods is a magical place where, once, all one wished for could be had for one low price. There are ancient tales of entire civilizations being sold for a song, and treasure houses of the finest Aztec gold being given away for pennies on the million.
In the late afternoon of the second century (shortly before the early dawn of the third) a great wave of violence swept the world. Man against man and steed versus steed fought to capture the amazing OnePricedWood, in an attempt to buy the world. In an effort to keep the balance of the world stable, to preserve it for many bloody fun years to come, a council of elders was hastily put together to stop the wars.
The elders debated for days until they agreed to search for an Saraco DeVilani, rumored to be the only man capable of destroying the powers of this enchanted place. They searched the mountaintops and eventually found DeVilani, a wizened old sorcerer who indeed said he could stop the war. The council of elders left with hope in their hearts and soon the news was spread; OnePricedWood would no longer give bargain deals. Everything since that day had been full price, with the exception of an occasional Jos. A. Banks suit. Tax is mandatory.
OnePricedWood is a pretty place even today. The skeleton shaped trees barely reveal the horrors of its bloody past. Heroes who can find it enjoy the beautiful clearing as they rest from their travels here. The air is sweet and the shade is cool, wildberries grow abundant, and the birds will sing your name.
