Welcome to the Hufflepuff Guild

A relatively small guild to the world of Godville, Hufflepuffs have very distinctive features; although much of the guild still remains unknown. Originally founded by Helga Hufflepuff, the Hufflepuff Guild is know for some of their core values, including: hard work, patience, loyalty, and fairness. Possibly due to these values, Hufflepuffs are usually less competitive and more modest than other guilds. Preferably, members of Hufflepuff are to uphold to these values rather than display any particular skill or reputation. For this reason, Hufflepuff has produced very few evil members.

Despite being known for its typically kind and modest behavior, Hufflepuffs do have quite a rivalry when it comes to Quidditch, a popular wizard sport game. This rivalry does create somewhat of a strain on the relationship between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, however the relationship remains friendly. Hufflepuff attempts to make good terms with all guilds, but are not afraid to stand up to evil, such as in the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998.

Membership

To become a member of Hufflepuff, it is preferable that our members uphold the Guild's values; kindness, hard work, patience, modesty, fairness, and most importantly loyalty. Though preferred, it is not required of all members to abide by these rules, however all members must remain loyal to the guild.

Many of our guild's members are specially chosen by a magical sorting hat, which selects kind heroes with good values, and sends them to the Hufflepuff guild. These members are not more important than other members, they are simply chosen for being a good match to the Hufflepuff Guild. Ultimately, the decision is up to the hero. Anyone with the will to join Hufflepuff is eligible to join, just as any member is free to leave if he or she chooses. If a higher power deity were to want their hero to join Hufflepuff, they might want to tell them to Join "Hufflepuff" guild Just an idea. New members are always welcome to Hufflepuff, and all members are treated with great respect.

Housing

The Hufflepuff Guild's dormitories and common room are a well kept secret never before seen by outsiders. There are even defenses in place to repel intruders, the only of its kind. Only members know of the secret entrance to the Hufflepuff guild, any failed attempt will be unpleasantly rewarded.

The guild is round and cozy, with low ceilings and circular windows showing rippling grass and dandelions. The room always seems sunny, a feeling enhanced by the copper furnishings and the overstuffed yellow and black sofas and chairs. Plants hang from the ceiling or sit on windowsills; many of these are unusual specimens that members brings as decorations.
