• We are a strong, cohesive and fun community of players who like to chat and help each other.

• We have quite a few temple owners, who keep our stats high so that all our members receive a continual supply of gold and other rewards (when viewing our town influence level, remember that only the top 5 towns are visible, so don’t worry - we still have high influence levels in all the other towns!)

• We are an evil guild. Everyone is welcome to join, provided they have an evil alignment.

• Our members include many of the oldest and most powerful gods in Godville, who are happy to be asked questions and share wisdom with their guild mates. Ask us anything; arena combat, how best to guide an evil hero, temple building, you name it!

• We suggest that new members start by friending one of our official welcomers in order to be formally welcomed to the guild and discover how you can get the most out of your membership. The current list is God Bellatrixie The Strange, God Pialphamu, God Zeerty, God Mistress of Science, God RufusTJYND, God Soft, God Ceccetticat, and God Lady Darkness. You should get a response fairly quickly, but in the event that you don't, please friend someone else from the list as the person you contacted first may be away or busy.

• If you wish to join our dark ranks, send a voice saying Join the "Harvest Moon" guild while your hero is outside a city until the hero decides to switch quests. Do not cancel your current quest first.

• Should your hero be foolish enough to start questing to leave us, aside from punishing the insolent whelp, we suggest that you order them repeatedly to "cancel quest". This can sometimes take over 20 tries, so persistence is the key!

Introduction

From across the oceans on the distant continent of Azaeloth came the Harvest Moon. Evil mercenaries who follow the arts of dark and evil gods, the Harvest Moon traversed the Ocean of Tears to come to Godville to establish expand their following and influence. The masters of the guild are those of the emptiest hearts, who seek to expand the influence of the Harvest Moon through terror. Harvest Moon welcomes those who follow the arts of destruction.

The Harvest Moon

History

The Harvest Moon occurs once every 10 years, and when it does it is a time of great terror. In the old days, the Cult of Blood would attempt to harness the Moon's dark energy by the means of sacrifice. They would "harvest" the souls of their victims and offer them to the blood red moon in return for great and terrible power.

Over time members of the cult were hunted down and killed, as the rest fled over the ocean and inhabited the land of Godville. By this time they had forgotten the rituals they would use to carry out the Harvest Moon Sacrifice. Although their methods are lost, there are still the guild masters who tirelessly hunt for a way to harness the Moon's great power once more, and recruit other "heroes" to help them in their search for power...

Guild Strongholds

Our sacred seal

We currently have five major footholds in this land, in the towns of Godvillewood, Herolympus, Anville, Deville and Dogville. Those who defy our rule in our areas of influence are severely punished for their blasphemy. Our followers affix a magical, sacred seal on their doors which not only allow them to show their support, but also protect them when we purge an area of any resistance.

Our strongholds are easily recognizable. They are vast, strong fortresses of darkness, perpetually surrounded by black storm clouds. The fortress is surrounded by a lake of blood, and atop the impressive towers made of bone are great luminous red crystals - ancient storage devices through which we channel dark energy in return for great and terrible power.

These "Legends" have all been with the guild since the Harvest Moon first formed in Godville. Every one of them held a major role in the forming of this guild, but have decided take a step down from leadership. However their dedication, loyalty and contributions have earned them a spot in our hearts, minds, and the retirement home.

Recruitment Policy

Our members are encouraged to recruit new, evil aligned gods and heroes into the guild. However, experience has proven that a degree of restraint must be practiced in order to preserve a sense of honor and goodwill between the many guilds of Godville. Therefore, we now ask that our members do not make deliberate attempts to recruit members from an active guild. As a general guideline, a guild which has posted on their own thread within the last 2 weeks should be considered active. We ask that other guilds contact an officer or Blood Council member if they feel like this policy has been violated.

Arena Policy

The Blood Council has declared the following arena policy in effect:

Guild members should try to avoid other guild members in the arena.

In the event that you find yourself matched against a guildmate, then there are no restrictions on the fight. Members should attempt to win the fight, unless you two individually agree to something else via private messages, voice of god, or in the Guild Council chat.

If members ignore your messages and enter the arena to fight you, report it to one of the guild officers at once. We understand that errors happen, but anyone who develops a pattern of doing this shall be dealt with harshly.

Forum and Chat Etiquette

By decree of the Blood Council, the following forum etiquette policy is in place for the guild:

Harvest Moon members must be respectful all members of Godville. Members may individually argue and banter with other guilds, to include tasteful barbs and jabs, on the Main Forum. However, members shall be restricted from using the threads of other guilds for arguments, spamming or anything that might be offensive or disruptive to another guild unless they carry with them the approval of the Blood Council. Members may post on other guilds’ threads, so long as it is fun, playful banter.

Other guilds will contact one of the Blood Council to remedy violations of Harvest Moon guild policy by its members, or God Bellatrixie The Strange or God Ceccetticat should the violator be on the Blood Council.

The purpose of this policy is to maintain Godville as a fun game for all and to prevent the hijacking of guild forum threads. Posts on other guild forum threads should be consistent with roleplaying personas, while ensuring a fun environment for all. Should another guild wish to start a roleplaying rivalry with the Harvest Moon and waive this policy, it can be arranged via private messages between friends.

  • Day 400 g.e The noble blood god  God Chace was granted a new power today as his mortal pawn, Jeezus, completed his temple. Jeezus placed the last brick, and began to feel something surge through his veins. His feet left the ground and he began to float, just as the moon blocked out the sun and the sky turned as red as blood. The people flocked towards Jeezus in amazement, as he shot lightning from his fingertips into the crowd of onlookers. The citizens were amazed, mystified, and terrified all at once.
  • Day 390 g.e The noble blood god  God Makaze was granted a new power today as his mortal pawn, Kimagure, completed the work necessary to own a temple. His back-breaking labor will now be carried out by tens of thousands of people, who graciously bowed down to the great evil, that is The Harvest Moon. This temple shall pay homage to the great, Makaze, through him, all evil things are possible.
  • Day 384  g.e The noble blood goddess  God Tiralise Elune was granted a new power today as her mortal pawn, Evienne, finished her the work on her temple. The enormous structure of evil can be seen all over the realm. Harvest Moon threw a sacrifice for Evienne on a scale that has never-before been seen in Godville. Animals from all the world were shipped, by the thousands, to be slain in her honor.
  • Day 381 g.e The noble blood god God Zindrel was granted a new power today, as his mortal pawn, Ashura, completed her temple. She put the last brick in place just as the moon completely blocked out the sun. A blood red shadow was cast all throughout Godville, from the capital to the forests outside of Deville. Citizens of Godville quickly dropped to their knees in terror. This day will stay etched in the memories of all, and the Harvest Moon will never be forgotten.
  • Day 378 g.e The noble blood goddess God Tiggilina was granted a new power today as her mortal pawn, Tiggy, finished her long-awaited temple. Tiggy laid the final brick on her temple, as her friends from the Harvest Moon arrived. All of Godville could hear the festivities, the sounds of mighty beasts letting out horrible screams before their lives were cut short and offered to her. Just as the festivities were winding down, the moon changed to crimson. No one will soon forget this day, citizens of Godville refer to this day as "Tiggy's Temple Day."
  • Day 373 g.e On this day, Harvest Moon ventured deeper into the outer lands and found the citizens of Deville. When we arrived, everyone got down on their knees and prayed. Suddenly, the sun was covered by the moon. The entire sky turned red, and the citizens shuddered in fear. It appears a long-awaited prophesy of theirs was fulfilled by pur arrival, which according to legend heralds a reign of darkness under the followers of the crimson moon. The people immediately renounced their old ways and began worshipping the new, evil gods of the arriving heroes.
  • Day 359 g.e The noble blood god God Peter C was granted a new power today as his mortal pawn, Oski, completed his long-awaited temple. As he laid the last brick, thousands of people came to gaze at the spectacle of a huge celebration in his honor. The sacrifices were great and plentiful. As the celebrations were winding down, everyone looked up as the moon turned a shade of red never before seen. Oski stood tall in his temple as the passerby's cowered in fear.
  • Day 336 g.e The noble blood goddess God KimDog was granted a new power today as her mortal pawn, Roof, finished his mighty temple. Alas, Roof shall enjoy a feast of great proportions, before a sacrifice of virgin's blood and 10,000 of the biggest, most evil creatures in all of Godville. All of Godville marveled as the moon turned red as blood. Mystified at the power Roof has over the dark arts, they will not be forgetting Roof, or the Harvest Moon any time soon.
  • Day 308 g.e Today our guild declared war with the treacherous guild "Knights who say Ni". Our heroes shall hunt down their heroes like the craven filth that they are. All guild members shall undertake the sacred obligation to enact our revenge upon the Ni-Sayers, so that they learn their place in the scheme of things.
  • Day 307 g.e On this black day in our guild's history, which has come to be known as the day hospitality died, the treasonous guild "Knights who say Ni" poisoned our guild leadership after inviting them to their guildhall to discuss official business. Argoet, Hammr, Delenn, Arnost, Jaaden, Pingping and Lord Caius all fell their treachery, and had their alignments altered and their links to their gods severed. Fortunately, the Knights were not as wise as they thought and the effects were not permanent like they had planned.
  • Day 306 g.e. The noble blood god God Thirdeye0pen was granted a new power today as his mortal pawn, Quadfather, finished his mighty temple.

After waging a largely successful war against the "Slaves to Armok", there war has come to an end with the Harvest Moon expanding its control over these lands as no other guild has ever done before. From Godville to Anville, our influence grew till our heroes’ names became words of fear to those who travel these lands.

  • Day 251 g.e. As more and more people see that darkness is the new light, they flock to our cause. In Beerburgh now, over one in every five people follow our cause, and In key towns such as Godville more people are joining us every day.

« Erion - 33rd level adventurer, member of “Harvest Moon” guild, with the motto “Torturer of the Moon ”, stands at the 2nd position in the pantheon of destruction under the vigilant supervision of the god Ardur. He asks someone to leave no stone unturned and report the results via express mail.
Argoet - 35th level adventurer, member of “Harvest Moon” guild, with the motto “Champion of the Moon ”, stands at the 4th position in the pantheon of gladiatorship under the vigilant supervision of the god Ulvolose. Pretty much likes his place in the pantheon and is not going to leave it any time soon.

  • Day 248 g.e. The noble blood god God Ulvolose was granted a new power today as his mortal pawn, Argoet, finished his mighty temple. This resulted in our guild gaining even more influence in this puny land, raising our influence in Beerburgh to 20%, an all-time high. This is merely a start for the many great events still to come.
  • Day 236 g.e. An executive decision was taken by the leaders of our noble guild to follow our mottoes with a crescent moon for ease of recognition in the pantheons. Messis lunae adoramus! 
  • Day 232 g.e.
« Swayvil - 34th level adventurer, member of “Harvest Moon” guild, with motto “I am the lesser evil”, stands on 29th place in pantheon of gladiatorship under vigilant supervision of god Corwin. The hero has no distinctive features to date, however, he promises to get some before his next appearance.
