Empty talk page
Having an empty talk page irks me... sorta like heroines and heroes feel when they get a new diary. Except, this page actually has some kind of value.
I’ll use this thread for notes to self, etc.. Not moving it to /Archive
Full caps redirects for pets
Add FULL CAPS redirect pages for all pets
On the HERO screen, the link to the pet is in all caps. I’m not sure if the game converts it beforehand, but, it sends you to the FULL CAPS name.
🧐 Are you certain of this? Perhaps I'm not reading this right, but if there's a link from anything on Godville to an all-caps wiki destination, that needs to be reported as a bug.
From the hero screen, my gummy wyrm pet links to
https://wiki.godvillegame.com/gummy%20wyrm, which is redirected by HTTP header as you'd expect to
https://wiki.godvillegame.com/Gummy_wyrm which is then
#REDIRECTed to Gummy Wyrm. All pet links from the hero page should follow this exact pattern: when a monster becomes a pet, their %pet_class% is always the lowercased version of the %monster%, and this variable is what's used to create the Godwiki links.
In other words, we definitely wouldn't like to create all-caps redirects for these, when it's caused by unwanted behaviour on Godville that can be fixed 😊 Earn yourself another Gratitude point! -- Djonni (talk) 06:03, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- As we're all aware by now (lol), I have a Sun Dog for a pet. When I click “SUN DOG” on the hero screen, it pulls me here at says “Redirected from SUN DOG”, instead of “Redirected from Sun dog”.
- What does yours say?
- Speaking of, I actually sent a bug report last night regarding three bugs I found, heh. I’m up to 3 gratitude points. They were: 1) canceling a duel at the ZPG warning gets the “Send to Arena” button stuck highlighted, 2) pulling down to refresh, stopping before it refreshes and using a second finger to open the Notification Center freezes the screen, and 3) opening either menu, switching apps, having the game refresh without restarting causes the non-diary screens to stop responding to touch input. I think they were aware of the third one because they asked if I knew the exact steps to reproduce it it would help a lot (which I did hypothesize and tell them shortly thereafter).
