|Description||Thin, wiry, strong|
The Cliff Hanger (Cliff adsecula) is a monster that has a much greater endurance than most.
This creature can hang suspended by one hand for a remarkable amount of time. Some researchers believe it can continue this activity indefinitely. No monsterologist has ever been able to outlast the Cliff Hanger in order to calculate the maximum amount of time it can hang (a few were mauled by the beast but most eventually had to walk away to urinate and get another beer).
The Cliff Hanger enjoys the element of surprise, hanging hidden below outcroppings of rock. It waits for unsuspecting prey, such as a single hero(ine), to wander below. Then, it leaps upon its victim and they never know what hit them.
It's been said that this monster is quite intolerant of obvious statements, so don't tell them something like "it's a nice day" or "you're very tall" or "you are a Cliff Hanger" because they will start to froth at the mouth and then probably try to rip you to shreds.
In short, the Cliff Hanger generally hangs from cliffs, and that's why he's called Cliff Hanger.
