Templates about templates

{{Tl}}, {{Para}}, and {{Tlx}} (and I suppose their less frequently seen cousins {{Tlf}} and {{Tlp}}) are often used in the Talk namespace, as well as in Category:Templates/Documents. Do they have a place in either of these categories? Or is a Category:Templates about templates, or a Category:Template documentation templates a better home for these? (Those are non-exclusive ors, they can of course be in multiple) --Djonni (talk) 07:28, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

I wouldn't particularly view them as Category:Talk namespace templates, the fact that they happen to be used on talk pages is immaterial and really too broad to be a qualifier for that category. There's already a Category:Template namespace templates... but that's meant more for templates used in template coding, which those aren't, especially. I suppose they're not not Category:Formatting templates, after a fashion. Or, something new like "Template linking templates" or "Link-insertion templates" or whatevs? *shrug* -- FeRDNYC (talk) 23:57, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
The template-link templates ended up in Category:Linking templates when I created it, and I just added {{para}} and {{tlf}} (which had NO categories!) to Category:Formatting templates, which I think covers it. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 16:17, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
I saw you do that, perfectly good solution there I think. A handful of other Special:UncategorizedTemplates also, many of which mine to fix :) -- Djonni (talk) 17:56, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
